Rippledown is group accommodation hostel in Kent where you’ll be sure to enjoy a warm welcome. While here you will have direct access to the beautiful countryside and we are walking distance to the iconic White Cliffs and plenty of other exciting activities.

Between Deal & Dover

Located near the iconic White Cliffs of Dover and close to spectacular visitor attractions, eg Dover Castle, Canterbury Cathedral & the Pines Garden, it is an ideal base for large groups wanting a weekend or holiday break. If you are interested in creative breaks, yoga, walking, cycling or golf, Rippledown is the ideal base from which to explore the surrounding areas.

Hostel rooms

Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen and washing-up area, with all crockery, cutlery and utensils. Fridge and freezer space.

Dining Room: Two dining rooms in the main house, can seat all together up to 50. Marquee on lawn with seating up to 300 people can be arranged for an extra charge.

Sitting Room: One main newly refurbished lounge with reading corner, piano, books and games. 1 x other small separate lounge. Additional room in annex.

TV and Music Facilities: Internet wireless connection and one TV & DVD in small lounge.

Heating/Open Fires: Central heating throughout.

Bedrooms: Main house: 6 shared bunk rooms, 2 rooms with single beds on first floor. Annex: 5 single beds bedrooms(2-8 beds). Wheelchair access & toilet facility

Bathrooms: Main house: 3 shared shower rooms and 7 toilets. Annex: 2 shared shower rooms with toilets, 1 x wheelchair access toilet & shower room.

Hostel facilities

Catering: Self-catered options or a flexible range of catering options available. Wholesome evening meals or a hearty breakfast, perhaps a packed lunch to take?

Linen: All bedding can be provided throughout.

Disabled Facilities: Annex: Accessible ground floor bedroom for up to 3 persons adjacent to shower & WC.

Children’s Facilities: Annex: Room for games. Main house: lounge for games and reading, story telling. 2 further rooms for workshops, arts & crafts.

Outdoor Facilities: Three acres of garden with a field, fenced pond, picnic area, camp fire, kitchen garden, games shed, woodland trail.

Swimming Pool: Not on-site. Deal Tides Swimming Pool is 10 minutes drive away. Alternatively we are also less than 10 minutes from the sea.

Parking: Currently up to 15 cars in front of the house. Additional spaces will be available Spring 2011. Large coaches; park in lay by on main road with path.

Telecom Facilities: Wifi & pay phone

Smoking: Only allowed in designated smoking areas outside the house.

Pets: Not allowed in the house

Games Room: Board games, table football.
