About the Permaculture Courses

These permaculture courses will help you develop more sustainable ways of living and working – they are ideal if your focus is yourself, the family, sustainable community or transition projects. The courses are hosted by the Bay Trust – an environmental education charity which runs Rippledown Environmental Studies Centre and the multi award winning Pines Calyx Eco-Conference Venue, amongst other activities.

You’ll learn how to use permaculture principles in practice a) in your own life and b) to contribute to community projects and initiatives. The course covers food, renewable resources, wildlife and beauty, sustainable communities, ecobuilding, sustainable energy, sewage, compost, appropriate economics, group work, design and implementation of projects, and much more.

Testimonials

The course far exceeded my expectations. I learnt a whole lot more than permaculture. A life-changing, life-enhancing experience‚ I can’t think of anything we’ve done on the course that isn’t applicable and relevant in my life.

It was a great experience. Skills I will always keep with me. Thanks

Keep it up. Don’t ever stop! I have been fortunate to have had many incredible learning experiences‚ but none of them come close to these last two weeks. Thank you.
